Writing prompts are a great way to spark creativity in storytelling. This page – built entirely in Notion to test and showcase their ability to show randomized content – has a range of randomly provided creative writing prompts for authors, short story writers and other storytellers.

A Prompt for Every Need

Select a type of writing prompt from the menu below. Each type is a unique setup drawing random content from a number of databases working behind the scenes. Components include images, quotes, objects, characters, situations, and so on. Have a look around and find a type of prompt that appeals to you, then start writing 🙂

Generating New Prompts

When loading one of the below pages, one or several randomized components will be displayed. Refresh a page to load a new set of components for a completely different prompt. To refresh, use “F5” or click “Return to Main Page” and then re-visit the same writing prompt page again.

Note: Refreshing the prompts can be slow in Notion. If nothing changes when refreshing, wait a little and try again.
