One classic writing prompt is to be given a series of objects that must be featured in a short story. The Characters, Objects & Situations Storyteller Deck takes this basic idea several steps further, by adding a few twists.
Not only is your incorporate-this-object prompt modular in that the objects are illustrated on cards that can be shuffled and drawn at random, but you also get situations to apply to those objects. For example, how about “A ball with a mind of its own” or “A crown for sale”?
Objects can certainly be fun, but what if you got a random set of characters instead? The deck includes a wide range of personalities, from a dragon or a lion to a bride or a grandparent. And yes, the situations can equally be applied to the characters, and therein lies the true fun of this deck! You can mix characters and objects and apply situations to them interchangeably. This can lead to some unexpected yet weirdly fitting situations, very inspiring for storytelling.

32 characters and 22 objects, playfully illustrated on the cards.
36 situations that can be applied to objects and characters interchangeably. Is it a crown for sale and a bride in an unexpected place, or the other way around?
A convenient box that closes via a hook on the back, to safely store all cards. Inside the box are printed instructions for a standard exercise.
